The toy box project came together without any huge hiccups. 3X3s weren’t available at my lumber supplier so I had to glue some boards together to get to the required dimension. There is one point in the instructions where the words width and length are transposed which caused me a few minutes of frustration.

Fun build and the plan was great. My grandson loves his new toy box. I have already had requests from other family members for a toy box. I think I will be busy in the near future building another one. FYI, the soft close hinge mentioned in the plan from Amazon is great. Just don't forget to add that last piece of wood for it to install on. Also, my home improvement store does not carry 3x3's for the legs. Instead, I purchased a 4x4 and ripped it to the desired size on my table saw.

The plans were easy to follow. The toy box came out great. My only suggestion is to remember that piece of wood you need to install the soft close hinge. I was done, having painted and assembled everything and then, I remembered that final piece of wood for the soft close. It was easy to install and paint, just don't forget it. Also, my home improvement store didn't have 3x3's for the legs. Instead, I purchased a 4x4 and ripped it on the table saw to the desired size. Easy! My grandson LOVED his new toy box. I have had requests from other family members for a toy box. I think this plan will get a lot of use!
